Discover the natural beauty of the Ria Formosa Natural Park on a relaxing boat trip through one of Portugal’s most protected and stunning coastal areas. Visit three beautiful islands during the tour: Ilha do Farol, Ilha da Culatra, and Ilha da Armona (or Praia Deserta during summer). Each island has its own charm, landscapes, and atmosphere. Learn about the history of the lagoon, the islands and local traditions throughout the journey.
Special tip ❤️: In summer, the afternoon tour is highly recommended. The islands are quieter, temperatures are more pleasant, and it’s perfect for swimming.
Tour Stops
First stop: Ilha do Farol (1 hour)
Enjoy free time on Ilha do Farol, famous for its lighthouse. You can walk around the village, visit the lighthouse surroundings, or simply enjoy the incredible views over the Atlantic Ocean and Ria Formosa.
Second stop: Ilha da Culatra (2 hours)
This is the longest stop, giving you time to discover the fishing village, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, or relax near the waterfront. Feel free to explore the traditional fishing island of Culatra. Lunch is not included, but you can bring your own food or eat on the island.
Third stop: Ilha da Armona or Praia Deserta (1 hour)
During winter / spring / autumn: stop at Ilha da Armona
During summer: stop at Praia Deserta
At Armona, enjoy crystal-clear water and natural scenery ideal for a short swim or walk. At Praia Deserta, experience one of the most peaceful beaches in the Algarve, with untouched nature.
The order of stops may change depending on weather and tides

Our tours are subject to weather and sea conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, we will contact you to reschedule or provide a refund. Additionally, the company reserves the right to cancel a trip if it does not reach the minimum number of passengers. Customers will receive a full refund in such cases.
We do not refund customer cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure. For cancellations of customers with more than 24 hours before departure, we refund the amount in full. This activity can be conditioned by the weather and conditions of the sea. We can, in case of bad weather or uncomfortable sea conditions, cancel the trip by fully refunding the amount paid or rebooking the trip to another time.
It is very unlikely to get seasick on this boat tour. We travel through the calm waters of the Ria Formosa, which is protected by the barrier islands ensuring smooth sailing.
No, lunch is not included in the price of the ticket. However you will have the option to explore the cafés and restaurants for lunch, or you can bring your own and have a picnic on the Island. Lunch will take place on Culatra and you are free to choose to do what or where you want to eat. Please be prepared that not every restaurant/café may accept card, so bring some cash just to make sure. If you'd like a recommendation, feel free to ask the Captain of the boat, who can also help make a reservation fo you.
Our boats are equipped for either 11 or 18 people. Groups will be organized by language, so that there is a maximum of 2 languages per trip.
Usually it is possible to use card to pay on the islands, however we always recommend taking some cash with you just incase. Please note that there are no atm machines on the island, meaning you won't be able to withdraw money there.
Yes, your safety is our priority. We sail through the Ria Formosa, which is usually very calm. Our trips are weather dependent, meaning that during bad weather conditions trips will be canceled/refunded or rescheduled.
