Step away from the coastline and explore the true soul of the Algarve on this full-day journey through the inland region known as the Barrocal. From traditional villages to local flavors and centuries-old crafts, this experience reveals a more authentic and cultural side of southern Portugal. The tour stops in three different towns.
The first stop is in São Brás de Alportel, where a visit to a cork factory awaits you. Learn about the sustainable industry and experience how cork is made! After the visit, feel free to stop at a traditional bakery for some local delicacies. You can also explore the Ethnographic Museum. The next stop is Salir. Here you will discover the ancient castle ruins and learn about the village’s history. The last stop is Alte, a beautiful town filled with cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. Stroll and absorb the beauty of the lesser known part of the Algarve. This tour focuses on culture, history, and local traditions, offering a deeper and more authentic Algarve experience beyond the beaches
Special tip ❤️: Try the carob bread. It’s one of the most traditional (and underrated) Algarve flavors.
