📍 Transfers & Meeting Point
Arriving by car is easy, with free parking available near the river and beach.
If you don’t have a car, we offer Pick-up & Drop-off from Lagos Central Bus Station for 15€ per group/booking.
Pick-ups are also available in:
Luz, Espiche, Burgau, Budens, Salema, Figueira, Raposeira, Vila do Bispo, and Sagres.
If you’re staying in Alvor, Portimão, Carvoeiro, Armação de Pêra, Albufeira, Quarteira, Vilamoura, Faro, or anywhere in central Algarve, you can take a morning train or bus to Lagos, where we can collect you. We’re always happy to help with travel tips.
🏄♂️ What You’ll Be Doing
If you love the outdoors, nature, and watersports, this tour is for you. This SUP journey follows the Ribeira de Aljezur River, taking you from a narrow freshwater stream deep in the valley all the way to the Atlantic Ocean at Praia da Amoreira.
You’ll first receive all the equipment:
• Wetsuit
• Buoyancy aid
• Paddle
• SUP board
Before entering the water, your instructor will give you a SUP lesson on balance, paddling, turning, and maneuvering, making this tour perfect for beginners.
As you paddle downstream, the scenery constantly transforms:
• Dense trees and bushes
• Open fields with grazing cattle
• Wild berry bushes
• Salt marshes filled with shellfish
• Birdlife resting along the riverbanks
The river is full of fish that often jump out of the water as you glide silently forward. As you approach the ocean, the dunes rise higher and the water becomes crystal clear. The sound of the waves and the salty breeze signal your arrival at Amoreira Beach, one of the most beautiful wild beaches in the region.
