From Armação de Pêra : Private Benagil Plus Cave Boat Tour

Tridente Boat Tours did a phenomenal job on our boat tour of the Benagil caves from Armaçao de Pera. We started out meeting Catarina on the beach in front of Pedro's Bar. They have a shaded area to relax and take your shoes off before your tour. when it is time the boat driver and tour guide will help you put on your life vests. they had plenty for adults and children. Mine are six and 22 months. they bring the boat right up to the beach so it is only a few steps into the water to the boat. there were only two families on our tour so it was pretty close to a private tour. the other family was a family of four as well. on the boat ride to the benegal cave, the tour guides would give us information about the coastline and some of the history of Portugal as well as Armaçao de Pera. it was interesting, informative, and even entertaining. they took us to several other caves in addition to the Bengal cave. I definitely want to come back to some of these places with a kayak. the Bengal cave is always busy as it is the most spectacular cave on the coast. our guides had no problem navigating by other boats and kayak groups to come into the entrance so that we could take in the cave in all of its splendor, well as much as we could from the boat, as only kayaks can go onto the sand in the cave. we had enough time to take in the views, snap some photographs and take some video, then we were on our way back to the fisherman's beach in Armaçao de Pera. Easy drop off, gathering our socks and shoes, and we were on our way. Excellent, quick trip with very friendly staff!
