This half-day private sailing trip from Portimão takes approximately 3 hours and can start in the morning or in the afternoon.  Up to 10 guests can join our crew on one of our modern sailing yachts that come complete with 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen.

With our usual gentle morning breeze, your yacht will remain stable and easy to walk around, even for grandma and grandpa.  Pick a comfortable seat in the cockpit or venture to the bow or midship to sunbathe or simply absorb the beauty of the Algarve from the sea.

If you are more interested in getting a taste of the wind in your sails, choose the afternoon half-day sailing trip when our afternoon breeze starts to pick up and you can experience the feeling of the wind driving you forward.  Our experienced crew will always adjust the sails to your level of comfort. Whether the sails are all the way out and the sailing boat is healing over, or you are sailing with just one sail, the moment the engine turns off and the quiet of the sea surrounds you, will be a moment you will remember forever.

During your 3 hours out at sea, we have multiple suggested itineraries. We always like heading West and visiting the cliffs and caves that make this area famous. In fact, Alvor with its peaceful, fine-sand beaches is a popular anchorage on our half-day trips. We love stopping there and exploring the beaches that appear out of nowhere on low tide.

This is a great spot for the kids to swim, try out our stand-up paddle board, or beach comb. Along the way, you will see beautifully restored St. John’s Castle of the Arade river, the town of Ferragudo and cruise by Ponta João D’Arens and Praia do Vau.  If you have already seen the more popular caves to the East of Portimão,  but would love to explore hidden and unknown caves and grottos, ask our crew to drop anchor here. We can also head East toward the world-famous Benagil Caves and the unique rock formations of Praia da Marinha. We’ll sail by the storybook town of Carvoeiro, historic Alfanzina Lighthouse, and Torre de Lapa as well as  Praia do Carvalho and lots of other attractions that are lesser known because they are inaccessible except by boat.

If you would like refreshments and snacks while on the water, we can organize a half-catering option for you where you will have a generous grazing board as well as wine, local beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
