Monchique, the starting point of our hike, welcomes us with its alleys and whitewashed houses, we will start with an ascent that will take us very gently in the Serra de Monchique.
This natural area, which all nature lovers will appreciate, offers almost every turn, a panorama of sea and mountain, surrounded by lush and beneficent vegetation. Along the way, let yourself be surprised by unexpected places, let yourself be invaded by the scent of eucalyptus and pine trees and guided by the singing of birds… Peace and quiet guaranteed !
After a free lunch in Monchique, we will make a stop on a spectacular viewpoint where the gaze embraces, the days of great good weather, the whole plain up to the ocean.
In the afternoon, we will meet Véronique, who manages with a masterful hand a magnificent orange grove, a culture without treatment, respectful of the land and the seasons, products and people. After a short visit of its «Quinta», you will have the opportunity to pick oranges directly from the tree but also to buy directly its citrus and other seasonal products 100% natural.
Then we will take, in the shelter of the sun, under the pergola, a tasty snack. Our friendly host will make you taste his homemade products such as syrups and jams while giving you very good gastronomic advice.
