This three-hour private, luxury catamaran cruise starts at 10:30 or 13:30 daily. With a skipper and private hostess to attend to your needs, our modern luxury catamaran has ample space for up to 12 guests. As this is a private cruise, you’ll enjoy the entire boat to yourselves. Our private catamaran cruise is designed to meet the desires of even the most discerning client and is one of the most luxurious ways to explore the coastline.
A bespoke itinerary can be created to focus on exploration of caves and trips to private beaches, provide an intimate day for close family to connect, or we can work with a local party planner to create a unique day for your special event. Our support boat allows groups to explore caves and lagoons while the catamaran bobs on anchor and others swim, mingle, or sunbathe on the generous foredeck. Our optional half-board catering keeps everyone in your group well fed with a fruit platter, Portuguese cheese and cured meats that are chosen from a selection of regional specialties in Portugal.
Witness the Algarve from a unique perspective onboard your private Fountain Pajot Lucia 40, a state-of-the-art sailing catamaran complete with a full kitchen, 4 bathrooms, and interior and exterior eating areas. During your 3 hours out at sea, we have multiple suggested itineraries. Our clients invariably enjoy heading west to visit the precariously balanced pinnacles and fragile natural bridges of Ponte da Piedade, just past old town Lagos.
Along the way you will see the towns of Ferragudo and Alvor. We’ll also cruise by Ponta João D’Arens and Praia do Vau. This is one of our favorite places to anchor and go for a refreshing swim. We can also navigate eastward towards the legendary Benagil Caves and the sedimentary rock formations of Marinha and Albandeira bays. We’ll sail by the charming Carvoeiro and Praia do Carvalho and many locations that few but the locals know about because they are inaccessible except by sea.
Go a little further East and you reach the beautiful, but lesser known beaches of Barranco, Senhora da Rocha (with its 16th century white capel) and Redondo. Lagos and nearby Ponta da Piedade are a popular destination on our day trips too. We love anchoring there and exploring the smallest grottos and secluded beaches by dinghy or on one of our stand-up paddle boards we have for rent. .
For lunch, our complete premium catering is on a per person basis and includes white and rose wines as well as local beer served throughout the boat trip in addition to a three-course meal while anchored in a beautiful bay.
Whether you prefer to just enjoy being on the water and simply relax on anchor, or rather to experience the art of sailing, you’ll surely be amazed by the stunning coastline of the Algarve. Get your camera out for the impressive grottos, stone spires, arches and hidden beaches.
Weather : Our trips/ Itinerary are always dependant on weather and sea conditions. Although it is very rare, trips may have to be changed to a different date or canceled due to rough weather. This decision is made by Portiate. We will always take in account our clients best interest. If an agreement cannot be reached for a different date, a full refund of the booking fee will be returned to the customer.

We do not refund customer cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure. For cancellations of customers with more than 24 hours before departure, we refund the amount in full.
This activity can be conditioned by the weather and conditions of the sea. We can, in case of bad weather or uncomfortable sea conditions, cancel the trip by fully refunding the amount paid or rebooking the trip to another time.
Our tours are subject to weather and sea conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, we will contact you to reschedule or provide a refund. Additionally, the company reserves the right to cancel a trip if it does not reach the minimum number of passengers. Customers will receive a full refund in such cases.
