The best time for migration sightings is in September and October, when flocks of birds travel to southern Europe. You’ll have the chance to see a diverse range of seabirds, from the impressive Gannet (Morus bassanus) to the elusive Storm Petrel (Strom petrel). Some species, like the Black-capped Shearwater (Ardenna gravis) and Eurasian Shearwater (Oceanites oceanicus), are more commonly spotted in August and September.
On days with ideal weather conditions, lucky observers may even spot the rare Sabine’s Gull (Xema sabini) or the Long-tailed Skua (Stercorarius longicaudus). To enhance the experience, we sometimes use baiting techniques to attract birds closer for detailed observation. 🧐
