🌊 Diving Baptism – Your First Scuba Diving Experience

Experience the thrill of scuba diving for the first time in a controlled environment, with professional instructors guiding you every step of the way. This introductory experience will take you from theory to pool practice and finally a sea dive, where you will have the opportunity to explore a natural reef and observe the incredible marine fauna and flora of the Algarve. 🐠

Diving Baptism includes:

• A theoretical class explaining the basics of diving, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• A pool session to practice essential skills.
• A sea dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters, lasting around 30 minutes, where you will explore the underwater world.

📝 Activity Requirements and Conditions:

• Minimum age: 10 years old
• Participants must know how to swim
• Safety restrictions: Pregnant women and children under 10 years of age or 1.40m tall are not allowed
• Dive depth: Maximum of 12 meters
• Duration: 30-minute sea dive
• Location: Albufeira Marina (check-in at 1:45 pm, end of activity at 5:30 pm)

Safety exercises during the pool session include:

• Regulator recovery and cleaning
• Partial cleaning of the diving mask
• Buoyancy control
• Air sharing

These exercises are mandatory and must be completed successfully before the sea dive.

After completing the pool session, you’ll embark on a short boat ride to the dive site, where you’ll dive in the natural reef with your instructor (2 students per instructor). After the dive, you’ll return to the center, where you can freshen up with hot showers.

At the end of the experience, you’ll receive an official SSI certification valid for 6 months, allowing you to dive up to 12 meters with a professional. You can also receive credits towards an Open Water diving course.
