Your journey begins with a visit to some of Tavira’s most iconic and historic sites. Travel past the picturesque salt pans, passing through the Atalaia Zone and the Convento das Bernardas, while learning about Tavira’s rich history. Continue through the old prison, the Igreja São Sebastião, and the military barracks. You’ll also visit the Igreja de São Francisco and the Igreja de São José (formerly the old church of the hospital).

The tour then takes you to the heart of Tavira, where you’ll discover the essence of the city. Explore the Convento da Graça, the beautiful Igreja de Santiago, the serene Igreja de Santa Maria, and the majestic Igreja da Misericórdia. Towards the end of the tour, we’ll head to Alto de São Brás, where you’ll visit the Capela de São Brás and the peaceful Igreja da Nossa Senhora do Carmo, before concluding the historical leg of the tour.
